Cooktop Cove: Bacon wrapped tater tot bombs
By Emily Monaco
How can you make tater tots even better? Add bacon! The recipe below is the perfect Game Day hors d'oeuvre, with a delicious combo of potato, cheese, and bacon.
While these little tots are great on their own, you can also serve them with an assortment of dipping sauces. Ketchup or barbecue sauce will add a touch of sweetness to offset the richness of the bites, but any sauce you like will work!

24 tater tots
8 ounces cheddar cheese
12 slices thin-cut bacon, halved
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Cut 24 very thin slices of cheese the same width as the tater tots: you should be able to roll the slices without them breaking.
Wrap each tater tot first in a slice of cheese and then in a slice of bacon. Use toothpicks to seal.
Place the tater tots on a grill placed over a baking sheet covered in aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy.
Set aside to cool about 10 minutes before serving.
